Julie Morgan was a pleasure to work with. I connected with her via the Internet and although we didn't get a chance to meet in person until two months before my wedding, I already felt like we had a lovely repoire. She is super responsive via email and phone, and very flexible with her time. I was a bit indecisive with my final hairstyle selection, and Julie patiently waited for my choice. Ultimately, she recreated a complicated updo from just a photo and I was thrilled with the result. Julie is a true professional and knows how to expertly apply make-up so that it shows up well in professional pictures, but still feels natural. Julie was perfection to a "T" I had a vision of what I hoped to look like and she not only understood exactly what I wanted, but she took it from there and created what made me gasp in pure delight when I looked in the mirror. She has top notch makeup and put me at ease immediately. Julie also replicated a cell phone image of an amazing hairstyle for my teen daughter within literally minutes and it was a complicated and gorgeous twisting type of design/braid...just stunning. My other goal was to have my twin sister resemble me as much as possible on my wedding day for sentimental reasons including the fact that she had recovered from a very serious illness a few years prior. We were beaming the entire day. My husband was so excited with my wedding day hair and makeup that he often asks me to do try and replicate that look. Julie was exemplary in every way as a vendor. Julie Morgan did my destination wedding and was amazing! I am happy to chat with any bride who wants to learn more. I had 6 different hair and make up changes and each one was done perfectly. Julie is absolutely amazing and so talented and was a huge part of the wonderfully "zen" wedding day my daughter, her bridesmaids and I had in getting ready for the beautiful event at Beaulieu Garden! Although we sent photos to her beforehand, she had never met any of us and the hair and makeup were fabulous. Julie is an amazing artist. At 1st, I was hesitant to spend the money but when I look at my pictures, I am so thankful I did. Julie worked wonders on my hair which is very challenging and made me feel so comfortable. My makeup was flawless and the to go kit was icing on the cake. Julie was recommended to us by our photographer, Amber Medley, who said she loved shooting Julie's brides. Julie was a dream; she arrived at our hotel on time, brought lots of ideas but was very attentive to what we wanted, listened to what we said and made us all look beautiful (from 20-something bride to 70-something grandma). The updo for the bride was a work of art. Julie made us feel very at ease during the whole process. She was wonderful.

Julie is the perfect choice to do your wedding day hair and make up. She was friendly, on time, warm, and has wonderful talent, creativity, experience and skill. One thing I learned on my wedding day was that no matter how organized you think you are, things pop up, so it is best to surround yourself with people who are good at managing the unexpected and unplanned. I didn't do a trial before my wedding, nor did I prepare with a magazine picture, so when halfway through my hairstyle,(which was beautiful as it was) I decided maybe it wasn't "me", Julie calmly, sweetly, open-mindedly made adjustments until I felt secure. Looking back, I may have just been feeling nervous, and either hairstyle wouldv'e been gorgeous, but the key is that Julie remained unruffled and sweet, and I was very happy with the final product. She was also kind and flexible when my mother decided about an hour before Go-time that she wanted her eyes done (a service not previously discussed or planned for with Julie). Julie obliged the request without a complaint. I received many compliments on my appearance that night -THANKS JULIE!

Hiring Julie Morgan for my wedding was one of the best things I did. She is very talented and on top of that she is a very calming, nurturing person. She is a mom and an animal lover. I just felt very calm around her and I had absolutely no worries about how my hair and make-up would turn out. I felt like a movie star at my trial. Plus, her make-up is wonderful. It does not feel heavy or rub off on everything. I have very sensitive skin and had no problems. After the trial, my then fiance begged me not to remove the make-up. I knew right away she was the one. I tried 5 different make-up artists. Noone even came close. I hired her for the whole day and night. I just thought it was crazy not to. You want to look beautiful for the whole night, not just the beginning. It was perfect, she was there to touch up me, my girls and the mothers for the entire event. She was deligtful and comforting. A welcoming and smiling face on my big day. She helped everything flow smoothly. She helped calm down all the craziness and drama of a normal wedding. I think she may be a therapist on the side. Just kidding, but she was truly wonderful to all my guests that interacted with her. There was always someone in the bridal room with her getting make-up or advice. I love Julie Morgan and can't wait until I need my make-up done again. If you choose Julie, you will not be disappointed. She is worth every penny. She is a truly lovely and talented person. I LOVED Julie! She was the best makeup/hair artist that I have encountered in all my searches. I wish she lived on the East Coast so I could recommend her to all my girl friends getting married. She created the most natural look for my makeup-without looking pale! She listened to everything I wanted and did exactly that! It was a dream working with her!

Wow! Julie is not only kind and easy to work with, but she does a fantastic job with hair and makeup. My photographs are beautiful because she kept me looking natural, but elegant. Julie was great. She did both the hair and makeup for all my bridal party and myself for our October 2010 wedding. She is very responsive and professional. I recommend doing a trail-I did one and was able to tell her what I would like different. She was able to do exactly what I wanted the day of. Julie is the absolute BEST!! I would recommend her to any bride. She recently did my hair and makeup for my wedding. It was perfect! She has the vision and talent to know what will look best and she made me look natural and elegant. She listened to my ideas and managed to make me look exactly how I envisioned but BETTER! Julie also did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and they were all thrilled with their "looks." Again, Julie showed her talent for knowing how to accentuate each individual's beauty. She used makeup colors that complimented each girl's natural coloring. And her updo's were amazing! She made each girl look unique, incorporating their requests (such as adding a front braid for a boho-chic look), while also working quickly to get us all done in time for pictures. One of my friends commented that she will NEVER see her hair look this good ever again! Most importantly, Julie remained calm throughout the day and she helped me to feel calm and confident. There was no problem or request that Julie couldn't handle with a smile and a reassuring word...so important on your wedding day! Julie's rate was less than others of comparable talent with whom I did trials. She included a very useful "touch up" kit on the day-of, which came in handy throughout the night. Not only did Julie offer the best deal, but I felt that she was the kindest and most professional makeup artist and she really took the time to make sure that I was completely happy with her work. Julie was very professional, efficient and friendly. She was on site and did hair and make-up for for five people. I told her what I had in mind for my hairstyle as a bridesmaid and she made it happen. It was perfect and beyond what I had imagined! My hair looked lovely and I recieved numerous compliments throughout the day. What amazed me was that my hair was done at 8:00 a.m. and lasted ALL DAY with little to no touch-up. The birdes hairstyle was beautiful and held up as well. I would definitely recommend Julie for your special day/event.

I first spotted Julie on her website (www.photomakeupartist.com). Though I recognized she did beautiful work (hair and make-up), I thought she was a little out of my price range. So, I tried a couple of other people, but was not as pleased with the results. They were professional and did a nice job, but it wasn't anything spectacular...and what girl doesn't want to look spectacular on her wedding day?! So I decided not to mess around anymore and called Julie. She was very friendly over the phone, knew exactly the kind of look I wanted, and put me at ease instantly..in fact we ended up finishing each other sentences! :-) She was soooo easy to work with and answered my emails quickly. Julie ended up doing 1 bridesmaids hair, 2 bridesmaids hair and make-up, my hair and make-up, and my Mom's hair and make-up. Everybody looked AMAZING!! And she did all of this in 6 hours!! I must admit I did get a little nervous about the time toward the end. We ended up running over only 10 minutes. She never made anyone feel rushed or not important, and never appeared nervous or anxious (about the time).My hair and make-up far exceeding my expectations. We received soooo many compliments at the wedding!! Julie fit my style perfectly. If you want something timeless and elegant Julie is your gal. Her looks are soft yet sophisticated, neat yet fresh.
