This place SOOOO HORRIBLE! YOU NEED TO READ THIS! I am shopping around for a wedding cake and sent an inquiry with a picture and proposed budget. This is the responses and conversation I received from Cake Creations. If you want to see the exact email I will be happy for forward it to you upon request. See for yourself how nasty they are and how bad the customer service is: Me: Hello, Can you please look at the attached sheet and provide a quote if you are able to provide this service. Thank you. Cake Creations response: "I'm sorry, no we can't work with that kind of budget, not for our custom cakes. I suggest you go to a bakery that does mass production. Thanks." My Response: "Okay, thanks. I've found others who can make custom cakes and who do like to work with their clients." Cake Creations response: "Ok good, like they say, you get what you pay for. And you are NOT one of our clients, never will. " My response: I will let the viewers decide - I will post the exact conversation on Yelp, the knot.com, wedding wire, facebook, and every other site I can find. Have a spectacular day. :) Cake Creations response: "Do whatever makes you happy, and good luck on your wedding, You're off to a great start!" PLEASE DO NOT GIVE BUSINESS TO PEOPLE WHO TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS. They are unprofessional and disrespectful and do not deserve to be in business, especially in Hawaii.

The people who run this place are super rude, difficult to reach, and unfriendly. My friend, the bride, had such a hard time trying to book an appointment with them for cake sampling and to ask about their cakes. And when she finally reached them? No apologies from them about not returning her calls. No bride should have to deal with this kind of stress from a vendor! When we arrived at the appointment, no one wanted to make time for us, and no sampling either. They were "super busy", answered our questions impatiently as if we were wasting their time, and told us to order the cake based on their sample photo books. Seriously?! Word of mouth is very important in Hawaii. They need to get their act together.

Our cake was very YUMMY!!! We had a hard time getting ahold of them but when we did they were very helpful.

Lani and Lori was so great to work with, they are super nice. the cake tasted great and they work with a design that we wanted, very easy to work with!

I chose cake creations because it was recommended by one of my vendors. I wanted a simple cake that would have fresh flowers placed on it, so I didn't need anything too fancy. Because I was planning a destination wedding my mother-in-law that lived in Honolulu had to do a lot of my research for me. She liked Cake Creations best so we went with them. I called them and explained that I would be arriving 1 week before my wedding and asked if that would be enough time to pick out a cake and they assured me that would be fine. When I arrived in Hawaii I went in my first full day in town to see them. When I got there I asked to taste the cake and they informed me that I could not taste and that it was too close to my wedding to do that. When my mother-in-law had gone they ahd asked her to pick her favorite cake, which she did. They informed me that what she had picked is what I had to have and there was no time to change that...the problem with that is that the flavors were nothing that I wanted. When we asked if there was anything else that we could do she got very short and my guests about how it wasn't her fault. After some rather firm words from my mother she agreed to let me try just a few cakes, but only a fraction of the total cakes that she offers. We settled on cake that we liked, although they were not the flavors I had intended to have. The cake at the wedding was OK, the flavor was good, but the looks were nothing amazing. She had also said she would leave a box and specific instructions for how to save the cake topper. She never gave us that. I would not recommend this vendor to anyone. While her product is OK, I value good customer service and I did not see that with Cake Creations. While I understand there was a miss-communication, but the way she handled it was upsetting. Whether it was our fault or her fault, to become defensive and somewhat hostile is not professional or necessary. At that point we just needed to find a solution and I feel she inflamed the situation instead of making it work. If you are planning long distance be wary! Communication is key since you can't be there to talk in person.

My wedding coordinator handled all the details with the cake but it turned out to be exactly how I wanted. I sent a picture of the design I wanted the cake in and showed how I wanted the flowers to cascade down the cake and they made it exactly how I described. The cake was also very delicious!! I usually don't like fondant but I was able to eat theirs. We had to break tradition because we couldn't save the top layer because we had a destination wedding and had to travel on our honeymoon before heading home so we ate the top layer at the airport and it was still good!!
