Katharine Kahulani is a passionate and inspired artist and makeup artist from Maui, Hawaii. Mostly self taught, she credits her late mom, Karen for always encouraging and enabling the creative endeavors. She has a certificate for makeup in the state of Hawaii from Spa Luna in 2006.  She also took an application class from acclaimed makeup artist Roshar in 2008.
"The face is a 3-D canvas for me. Beauty comes from within, I just bring out what You already have. Your best features are enhanced, and I love what I do!"
What began as a hobby for the sheer joy of it, her makeup career is now a huge part of her daily life. Kalena Productions has been open for business since October 2006.
Clients love her for her ability to create whatever look they need for the occasion. On location, she is professional, enthusiastic, creative, and timely. Her rates are good for our ever changing economy.
Her kit includes MAC and MAC Pro products as well as many other fine cosmetics.
Kahulani is also a freelance portrait artist. Canvas or face, she is always being inspired by the beauty of the islands to paint and create.
