My name is Katie Vollmer and I am the founder/owner of Beauty and the Beach mobile Hair and Makeup services. Literally the name is derived from my two passions...I LOVE makeup and I LOVE the beach!
Beauty and the Beach was born when I discovered that brides needed and wanted honest, talented, affordable, professional and friendly artists to make their "Red Carpet" moment as perfect as possible. After all, we are the last one to have our hands on them before they walk down the aisle to say "I Do" to the one they want to impress the most! The beautiful bride needs to know that she will be in the comfort of one that will not only make her look and feel fabulous, but also, a calm and friendly personality to comfort her as her BIG moment approaches. Each stylist that works for Beauty and the Beach is not only an amazing hair stylist and makeup artist, but is honest, caring and proficient at every level necessary. We make the day run smooth and send the entire bridal party down that aisle on time and looking and feeling absolutely picture perfect!

I have been passionately doing both hair and makeup for over 12 years in Southern California. This will be my first summer in Hawaii.I will be available for bridal beauty from June 20th to August 10th.

Although I specialize in weddings, I love to do fashion shows, commercials, photo shoots, and even special effects! I trained hand in hand with the talented Gina Ludwig and had the privilege of working at Hair Comes the Bride for about six years! In 2002 I earned a BA degree in Art from Cal State Long Beach. I then went on to receive a certificate in the Journeyman Program of Makeup for TV and Film from the prestigious Make-Up Designory in Burbank, CA in 2004. I continued my education and credentials by graduating with an Esthetician’s license from Lake Forest Beauty College. Finally, in 2006 I started Beauty and the Beach!
I love Jesus, my hubby, my kiddos and I love to surf, snowboard, ride horses and, of course, hair and makeup! My husband and I were married in 2003 at Rancho Las Lomas. We had our first baby in 2007, a gorgeous little girl and we just had a baby boy in May of 2010! I’m enjoying motherhood and running my own business.
